I truly hate the cold and winter when it is in my way (as in when I am not skiing) but this summer has just been too hot. I am on vacation and all I do is about avoiding the heat. When that fails, everything just gets really sweaty and unpleasantly warm. Practically all of Sweden has had a tropical weather the last couple of weeks. Up to 32°C/90°F during the day and it doesn’t drop below 20°C/68°F durimg the nights. Had I enjoyed that kind of weather I would have relocated south long time ago.
So, this is of course not unique to Sweden, but the big difference to countries where they are used to it is that their homes, stores and offices are built for it. When I walk into an office in Florida, you almost risk catching a cold just because the AC is amazing. When I walk into my house at home, it is as effing hot and opening a window will not help one bit.
But, fall will be here in a couple of months. .. Until then I will focus on keeping my fingers crossed hoping we will see some rain in the second half of the summer, that could save some of the list crops for the farmers which would be really good.
