As you’ve seen in previous posts, I am involved in several soccer/football teams. Today, I took the team F09 (Girls 9 y.o., born 2009, where my my youngest daughter is playing) to a tournament and it was as fantastic as it always is! This team lost ONE game in last years series and, deep down, I really would like them to get tougher competition (I believe in 25-50-25, meaning 25% games with easy competition, 50% with matching competition, and 25% with really hard competition) but it is awesome to see how their game is on a level which is much higher than I think even my older team was at (and they are good!) when they played at the same level!Today’s tournament showed us fast insertions directed at a forward way behind the other team’s defence line, corner kicks so good I haven’t even seen them with my two years older team and fantastic upfield plays. I was a bit worried that the girls would have lotst their touch during the winter but that is really not even an issue.
Tomorrow, we are playing another tournament. Pretty much the same team but at least two of the teams we are facing will give us hard competition which is great!
